Originally scheduled to reach theatres in April of 2018 but delayed by 20th Century Fox for reshoots that never actually happened, director Josh Boone's Marvel Comics adaptation THE NEW MUTANTS is finally set to be released by Disney on April 3rd.
In the build-up to the film's long-awaited release, Disney has given us a look at a new trailer (embedded above); a couple new posters, which can be seen below; and some new images of the characters, which can also be seen below.
One batch of images focuses on the character Dani Moonstar, played by Blu Hunt, and another shows Henry Zaga as Bobby "Sunspot" da Costa.
Directed by Boone from a screenplay he wrote with Knate Lee, THE NEW MUTANTS centers on
a diverse cadre of teens learning to cope with their superpowers. These new mutants find themselves held in a secret facility against their will and must battle the dangers of their powers, as well as the sins of their past.
Hunt and Zaga are joined in the cast by Maisie Williams as Rahne "Wolfsbane" Sinclair, Anya Taylor-Joy as Ilyana "Magik" Rasputin, Charlie Heaton as Sam "Cannonball" Guthrie, and Alice Braga as Dr. Cecilia Reyes.
We've been waiting for this movie for a long time, but the wait will be over in two months.
