New Blade introduced in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

As we all know good and well by this point in time, MOONLIGHT, GREEN BOOK, and TRUE DETECTIVE season 3 star Mahershala Ali has been tapped to play the role of BLADE in a new Marvel movie. And today we're hearing a rumor that this new Blade could be introduced in Marvel's upcoming "first horror movie" DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS.

This rumor/theory comes to us from Screenrant who found a clip of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige saying:

We have, for years, wanted to find a new way into Blade, we love that character. We love that world. Now, with Doctor Strange and the supernatural elements coming into the MCU, it felt like we could definitely start exploring that…

Now this by no means is confirmation that Blade will appear in DOCTOR STRANGE 2 but is sure as hell makes a lot of sense to me. Especially considering HELLRAISER: INFERNO, THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE, SINISTER, and DELIVER US FROM EVIL director Scott Derrickson is returning to helm the DOCTOR STRANGE sequel, and had this to say about the new film:

What excites me about Doctor Strange is what made him great in the comics; that he doesn't fight villains from this earth, or even from this universe, but from the multiverse and other dimensions, so you get into all kinds of psychedelic weirdness, which this movie is going to. But when I came and talked to (producer Kevin Feige) about doing a sequel, I said, 'I don't want to do just another sequel to do a sequel, if I'm gonna do it it has to go into the territory that drew me into the Doctor Strange comics in the first place, which is how they dipped into the gothic and the horror and the horrific, and we're gonna make the first scary MCU film.

So with his comments in mind, again it only makes sense that Marvel would want to re-introduce their new Blade within their first scary movie. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens when DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS hits theatres on May 7, 2021.
