New behind-the-scenes featurette released for Hulu’s Future Man

You know, I'm maybe enjoying Seth Rogen the director/showrunner more than I am Seth Rogen the comedian/actor. I mean, I really enjoyed his features – which he directed alongside long-time partner Evan Goldberg – THIS IS THE END and THE INTERVIEW, and also loved PREACHER a lot more than I thought I would (which he co-ran with Goldberg as well). So with that pedigree, I am giving FUTURE MAN – the upcoming Hulu action-comedy-sci-fi series – a chance. Also, according to the above featurette, it looks like it was a blast to shoot.

Anyway, here's the official synopsis:

Josh Futturman, a janitor by day and a gamer by night, is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time to prevent the extinction of humanity.

Thing is, while it definitely has a lot of potential, nothing about the trailers so far have really wowed me. I do, however, like the idea of him going through hoops to simply not kill a guy (but causing tons of damage anyway), as well as travelling to different eras. That seems cool. Just haven't laughed much yet. Hopefully, though, the show maybe can't show all its cars due to vulgarity or whatever. I'm holding out hope still for sure.

Meanwhile, FUTURE MAN will begin streaming on Hulu November 14th.
