With the much-anticipated release of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR out of the way, we can now turn our attention to Marvel's next film on the slate, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, or, you know, watch INFINITY WAR a dozen more times. In all seriousness, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the first film and am quite pumped for the sequel, especially as it seems that we'll be getting more from Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), this time as The Wasp! The full-length trailer for ANT-MAN AND THE WASP will be released tomorrow (you can check out a description of that trailer from our own Editor-in-Chief Paul Shirey) but in the meantime, we'll have to make due with the latest poster!
Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost! Lots of fun new reveals in this poster, which leaves me all the more excited for tomorrow's trailer, which Paul Shirey says folks should like a lot more than the first one. Evangeline Lilly has said that the sequel will deal with, among other things, the search for her mother, who was lost in the Quantum Realm. "Scott entered the Quantum Realm in the first film and came back, which is something they thought was impossible." Lilly said. "The question has arisen, ‘Can Janet come back?’ So the entire film, my character is hell-bent on finding a way to get into the Quantum Realm and bring her back."Given that Michelle Pfeiffer is featured on the poster, it's probably a safe bet to say that they find her.
The official synopsis for ANT-MAN AND THE WASP:

In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.
