Neve Campbell to join Dwayne Johnson in Skyscraper

Neve Campbell Skyscraper Dwayne Johnson

Yesterday Dwayne Johnson was asked by someone on Twitter how many hours of sleep he gets. Johnson responded that lately his average has been about four hours. I can't say I'm surprised. If anything, I thought it'd be less. With the crazy amount of movies and television the man is attached to, I can't believe he has time for anything else, but he seems to be out there constantly, interacting with fans, producing content through his Seven Bucks Productions banner, and, of course, working out. I'm a little jealous of his energy. One of the many projects on Dwayne Johnson's slate is the upcoming SKYSCRAPER, a 3D action thriller which will likely prove horrifying for anyone with a fear of heights.

Deadline reports that the latest addition to the cast is Neve Campbell (House of Cards), who has signed on to star opposite Dwayne Johnson in the Rawson Marshall Thurber (CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE) film. Dwayne Johnson will star in SKYSCRAPER as Will Ford, a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and war veteran who now assesses security for skyscrapers. While on assignment in China, he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze. About as safe as the Titanic I see. What's more, he's been framed for it! That's certainly lands ol' Johnson in a pickle. A wanted man on the run, Ford must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who are trapped, wait for it, inside the building, wait for it again, above the fire line. Sounds appropriately wacky and fun, I'm game.

Dwayne Johnson is currently in the midst of shooting RAMPAGE, an adaptation of the 80's arcade-game of the same name. After a trio of giant genetically altered alpha predators run amok and begin destroying everything in their path, Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson) and a discredited genetic engineer (Naomie Harris) team up in order to secure an antidote and bring a halt to this global catastrophe.

SKYSCRAPER is set for a July 13, 2018 release.
