Netflix just released the teaser trailer for their upcoming series The I-Land last week, but a full trailer for the show has already arrived online. The I-Land is going to be available for viewing through the streaming service as of September 12th, so they have to get the marketing done quickly.
Created by Neil LaBute, the show will tell its story over the course of seven episodes. That story has the following synopsis:
When ten people wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there, they set off on a trek to try to get back home. They soon discover this world is not as it seems. Faced with the I-Land’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves — or die as their worst ones.
The I-Land stars and was produced by Kate Bosworth, with LaBute executive producing alongside Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev.
Bosworth's co-stars include Natalie Martinez, Alex Pettyfer, Ronald Peet, Kyle Schmid, Kota Eberhardt, Sibylla Deen, Anthony Lee Medina, Gilles Geary, Michele Veintimilla, and Bruce McGill.
The I-Land looks intriguing to me, with my interest getting a boost from the fact that I'm a big fan of the dearly departed series Lost. I'll be giving it a try once it reaches Netflix.
