Netflix launches interactive Glass Onion island tour

Netflix Tudum has launched an interactive feature that takes fans of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery to Miles Brons’ luxurious Greek island–not for a murder mystery, but to explore the island itself and dive into behind-the-scenes details. But please, silence all cell phones and avoid the pineapple–Duke don’t dance with pineapple. Oh, and you might want to watch Glass Onion before exploring so as to not have many of the film’s details and mysteries spoiled.

According to the official website: “Join us as we transport you to the turquoise waters, sandy shores and exquisitely lavish architecture of Porto Heli, where Glass Onion writer-director Rian Johnson and his crew transformed Villa 20 at the Amanzoe into Bron’s outlandishly lavish lair by the sea. See what it truly means to be a disruptor as you get an up-close 3D tour of the island paradise.”

Further, the interactive website invites you to “Peel back the layers of our 3D Glass Onion experience by clicking on our behind-the-scenes videos, scrolling through our eye-candy photo galleries and reading tasty tidbits and insider trivia. Oh, and don’t mind Derol if you see him. He’s going through some things…”

The feature lets visitors click around and explore a number of key locations to Glass Onion, like the entry, the pool and, of course, the Glass Onion itself. Each location has its own areas that make for a truly immersive experience, putting you on the lavish island that you’ll never visit–unless you happen to be a governor or a fashion designer or world-renowned private investigator. You can launch the 3-D tour here!

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which came to Netflix on December 23rd, is one of the best-reviewed movies of 2022 (our own Chris Bumbray gave it an 8/10, accurately saying that “no one will walk out of this not wanting to see more Benoit Blanc adventures.”). It has also held its own at the box office, despite Netflix’s short, one-month window between its theatrical release and its streaming debut. Glass Onion is nominated for two Golden Globe Awards: Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor (in the same category) for Daniel Craig.
