NetFlix Horror in February: Blair Witch Project, Santa Clarita Diet, & more

I once heard, I guess you could call it, a rumor. The rumor said that NetFlix was not horror-friendly. The rumor said that even though horror flicks were a big hit, and draw for the streaming service, (sounds like another rumor to me) they still treated horror flicks as if they were one step up from pornography.

Say what you will about NetFlix, I don't think that rumor applies to them anymore than it does to the world entire. I think NetFlix boasts quality horror flicks. Maybe not ALL by any means. But they seem to go for THE SHINING, and JAWS, and THE EXORCIST, etc. Instead of cramming as may Wal-Mart Murder Movies as they can into their ranks.

Truth be told, they kinda do that too though…

Anyway, February marks a new month and that means we will be getting a ton of new films and genre TV series added to our NetFlix queues. Well, maybe not a TON. But, again, quality or quantity. Here is the, current, list of fright flicks heading our way through the month of February:

Admittedly, those are some slime-pickin's. But overall I'd say the quailty beats out the quanity… Right? THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT alone is reason to rejoice, and I am very much looking forward to checking out I DON'T FEEL AT HOME IN THIS WORLD ANYMORE.

I'm still on the fence about SANTA CLARITA DIET…

Although, I really enjoying thinking of the show as a cool alt-world comedy where we get the answer to the age-old question: What would've happened if Casey Becker had survived the opening of SCREAM and then went on to marry Mickey from SCREAM 2?

What? That isn't an age-old question? Huh. Maybe it's just me then.
