Love Is Blind

Netflix’s live Love Is Blind reunion special was supposed to be a massive hit for the streaming service…if only it wasn’t actually blind for its fans. Unfortunately for those looking to see Tiffany and Brett, Zack and Bliss, and more, the special ran into some technical difficulties, with viewers being met with the dreaded “We’re having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title.” This forced Netflix to issue an apology.

Shortly after the Love Is Blind reunion was set to stream live on Sunday night, Netflix took to Twitter with the following: “To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon…we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned. We’re filming it now and we’ll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry.”

But Love Is Blind devotees shouldn’t put away their gold goblets yet, as Netflix has guaranteed fans that the reunion would be available on April 17th. While the special may not be live, it will still certainly be a hit. Who doesn’t want to see Micah and Paul interact after their wedding debacle?

The Love Is Blind reunion over the weekend would have been Netflix’s second livestreamed event following last month’s Chris Rock stand up special, Selective Outrage. The only bungle there was Rock goofing up the wording during his rant against Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

As of publication, season four of Love Is Blind is the number one show in the U.S. on Netflix, besting other original content likes series Beef and Florida Man, actioner The Night Agent and docuseries American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing, timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the event.

Love Is Blind’s official synopsis: “Nick and Vanessa Lachey host this social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.”
