Neill Blomkamp gives us a glimpse at the new Alien pulse rifles

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Lately, Neill Blomkamp's ALIEN project has been weathering the storm of buzz caused by Ridley Scott's announcement of his PROMETHEUS sequel, ALIEN: PARADISE LOST. Though both films remain in production, their jockeying into position has caused some delays. But that won't stop Blomkamp from teasing us with awesome pictures from the development process!

Just today, he posted an image on Instagram of the new design for the classic pulse rifles from ALIENS, now with added RIS, or “Rail Integration System," a method for attaching firearm accessories. Blomkamp's posts have the feel of a kid playing with the world's largest toybox. Let's hope he brings that childish glee and enthusiasm to his work on the project as a whole. Check out the image below!

Look for Neill Blomkamp's ALIEN flick in 2017, at least according to Ridley Scott himself. Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn are reported to be returning to the film in their original roles of Ripley and Hicks.

We all knew there would be pulse rifles. Obviously. Now with added RIS
