Neil Marshall says that Burst 3D with Sam Raimi is next on his plate

We heard rumblings about BURST back in April (HERE to be exact), as it sounded like Neil Marshall had plans on directing with Sam Raimi’s Ghost House producing. Here we are a few months later and it looks like this is still the case!

The boys at FearNET had a chance to catch up with Marshall while out pimping his latest flick CENTURION, and this is what he had to say about his involvement with BURST, or should I say… BURST 3D??? Yes. I should. Check it: We’re still working on the script, so it’s ongoing. I don’t know exactly when we’re going to get around to shooting it. But I’ll be dealing with aliens for the first time. There’s alien involvement in there… And exploding people

I f*cking love exploding people, so this film can do no wrong in my book. Throw in the fact that it’s coming from the same dude who gave us THE DESCENT, and what we have here is the perfect sounding movie. But what’s BURST 3D about, really? Check out the synopsis: a group of stranded travelers meet during a blizzard and get stalked by a malevolent force that makes people spontaneously combust.

In 3D people. Yes, this may be the coolest sounding 3D movie ever thought of. It’ll be like a Gallagher show, expect instead of exploding watermelons… there’s exploding people! Nice!
