Friday the 13th Part III

While the still-not-quite-resolved legal issues behind the scenes of the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise can keep video games from being updated and movies from going into production, they're not holding back NECA from making and promoting a new F13-related action figure. The company has revealed that they will be releasing a new Pamela Voorhees figure, showing Jason's mother the way she looked at the end of the FRIDAY THE 13TH PART III: a rotting, worm-faced corpse.

F13 III ends with an odd dream sequence that mirrors the ending of the first film, except this time it's not Jason who jumps out of the lake to grab the heroine out of a canoe, it's his dead mother Pamela with her head re-attached. Never mind that part 3's heroine never gives any indication that she knows anything about Jason's back story; Pamela Voorhees is somehow lurking in her subconscious anyway.

The figure NECA has created of this "Lady of the Lake" version of Pamela looks really cool and disgusting, and should make an awesome addition to an F13 fan's collection.

This is how they describe the figure:

The original killer from Friday the 13th is back! Jason’s mom, Pamela Voorhees, dies in the first movie but appears again in the third installment of the slasher series.

The “Lady of the Lake” figure depicts Pamela as she appears in Chris’ dream: a nightmarishly rotted body emerging from Crystal Lake to pull Chris in.

The detailed figure is fully poseable and stands 8″ tall, featuring synthetic hair and distressed clothing. The resealable clamshell packaging has custom artwork created by Jason Edmiston just for this release!
