Muschietti’s take on King’s It may be filming all summer

Director Cary Fukunaga was one month away from the start of filming on his two-part adaptation of Stephen King's IT when, feeling that his vision was being compromised by the studio, he dropped out of the project last May.

Andy Muschietti (MAMA) quickly came on board to replace Fukunaga, and although it was said that things would be starting over with a new script, this director shake-up has apparently only caused a delay of one year. According to the Canadian newspaper 24 Hours, a deal has been closed for IT to film in Toronto from June 27th through September 6th.

Summer begins on June 21st and ends on September 22nd, so IT looks to be taking up almost the entire summer for the cast and crew.

Details on Muschietti's approach to the material are scarce and we have heard no casting news to this point (Will Poulter had been attached to play Fukunaga's version of the evil clown Pennywise), but if the first day of filming truly is just two months away we should be getting flooded with news very soon.
