Word has dropped on the morning of the show's season 3 finale that the USA Network's MR. ROBOT is being picked up for a fourth season.
If you need a reminder, MR. ROBOT stars Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson, a cyber-security engineer suffering from dissociative identity disorder. Once word of Elliot's acumen reaches an underground hacker group orchestrated by Christian Slater's Mr. Robot, the organization moves to recruit Elliot for their mission to destroy the multi-national corporation E-Corp. In addtion to Malek and Slater, the series created by Sam Esmail also stars Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer, Bobby Cannavale and BD Wong.
Recently, Slater received his third consecutive Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television – an award that he won for his MR. ROBOT performance back in 2016. Additionally, Malek has been nominated for two Golden Globes for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Drama. He also secured the win for the Emmy in 2016 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. It would appear as if MR. ROBOT is a show that's programmed for success.
The Season 3 finale of MR. ROBOT airs tonight on the USA Network.
