The second season of the Stephen King-inspired television series Mr. Mercedes is scheduled to start airing on the AT&T Audience Network on August 22nd, and in the build-up to the premiere a featurette has been released online that offers a preview of the new episodes.
Season 1 told the story of
a demented serial killer who taunts a retired police detective with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he can strike again.
In the featurette, executive producers David E. Kelly and Dennis Lehane, director Jack Bender, and some of the actors discuss the situations the returning characters will be dealing with when viewers catch up with them in season 2.
Want to know what's going on with Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson), Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadaway), Jerome Robinson (Jharrel Jerome), Holly Gibney (Justine Lupe), Lou Linklatter (Breeda Wool), and Ida Silver (Holland Taylor) before August 22nd? Check out the video below.
I still need to watch season 1, so I probably shouldn't have watched this featurette yet, but I didn't mind the spoilers. If you don't want to know how season 1 ended, though, you should definitely avoid this featurette for now.
