MPAA dishes out ratings to Pacific Rim, R.I.P.D. and 7500

It’s that time again; the MPAA has given their ratings to a few movies of interest to us, so we’re going to pass the info along.

First up, Guillermo del Toro’s epic PACIFIC RIM, which has been predictably slapped with a PG-13, for sequences of intense sci-fi action and violence throughout, and brief language. PACIFIC RIM hits theaters on July 12th.

R.I.P.D., which just released a trailer, also receives a PG-13, for violence, sci-fi/fantasy action, some sensuality, and language including sex references. That flick comes out on July 19th.

Finally, Takashi Shimizu’s MIA supernatural thriller 7500 – which still hasn’t had a release date for about a year – has been seen by the ratings board, which gives the flick a PG-13, for thematic material, some scary images and brief language. Not very thrilling, but there you have it.
