After fifteen years, Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie, the director who discovered him in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels have finally re-teamed for the much-anticipated Wrath of Man! A remake of the french film Cash Truck, Statham stars as a mysterious armored truck employee who seems a little too comfortable foiling robberies and dispatching baddies. While it probably strikes many as a more assembly line effort than expected for Ritchie, don't be fooled. The film is as ambitious as anything he's ever made, with a terrific second half that partially deconstructs the genre while also delivering on the max firepower you'd expect.
You can check out my review above. Over on Rotten Tomatoes, it's scored a respectable 65% – not bad for an action flick. But who cares about us critics anyway – we want to know what you think! Did Wrath of Man scratch the action itch, and how did it stack up against Ritchie and Statham's other collaborations? Talkback below!
