With Wonder Woman 1984 now playing in theaters (and streaming on HBO Max in the U.S.), Gal Gadot has portrayed the Amazonian warrior on the big-screen for the fourth time following appearances in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, and Justice League. Gadot was first cast as Wonder Woman in December 2013, with Zack Snyder saying, "Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character." With Wonder Woman 3 already in the works, Gal Gadot took to Twitter to take a look back in time at one of her very first costume fittings all those years ago.
Found this little reminder from one of my first fittings…
Seems like ages ago but at the same time like it was just yesterday, you know the feeling?#TB pic.twitter.com/u6SnTInhqT— Gal Gadot (@GalGadot) December 27, 2020
Gal Gadot has certainly come a long way since then and has definitely made the role her own. The recently released Wonder Woman 1984 brings the action into the 1980s and finds Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) facing off against Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) and The Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) along for the ride as well.
