John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John ruin Christmas with the cheapest music video of all time

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

It is hard to not enjoy the holiday season. I mean, I am Jewish and I still love Christmastime. I have my tree up as well as my menorah; the smooth sounds of Louis Armstrong singing “Zat You, Santa Claus” flowing through my home. It is cheery and festive and makes me glad to be alive.

I am a purist when it comes to my holiday music, but I am not adverse to new songs. I don’t know why I expected the new album from GREASE stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John to be anything aside from insufferable, but it is the worst. Both actors have had successful careers since GREASE, especially Travolta who peaked and is now sliding into the B-list right behind his buddy Nicolas Cage. There is no reason for this to be as bad as it is.

Their single “I Think You Might Like It” is bad as a song, but add in a music video and it reaches for the pinnacle of awful. I mean, this has got to be the cheapest music video of all time. I have seen better production values on basic cable. At least half of the videos on YouTube are of better quality than this and some of them were filmed on cell-phone cameras.

I was not expecting GREASE 3 from these two, but I was expecting a hell of a lot more. Happy holidays, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. You just ruined Christmas forever.

Warning: you cannot unsee this.
