Disney, we need to talk. Do you remember how I've been praising your marketing for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, specifically how you've been keeping the mystery alive by not revealing too much? Please don't make me take that back. Although J.J. Abrams has said that we wouldn't see any more trailers for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, we've definitely been getting our fill of new footage thanks to international trailers, TV spots, and behind-the-scenes specials.
A new TV spot has been released which packs quite a lot of new footage in those thirty seconds. You can check it out below or wait a month to see it on the big screen. Your call.
Some interesting tidbits are sprinkled in this new TV spot, especially Finn (John Boyega) using a lightsaber to battle a stormtrooper who is wielding some form of lightsaber resistant weapon. Although we've been receiving more footage from the film than I expected we would, it still feels like the majority of the plot is a mystery. Finger's crossed that Disney doesn't pull a TERMINATOR: GENISYS and show too much.
The release of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS is just a month away, December 18, 2015 here we come!
