Fresh off his appearance as Bob a.k.a. "The Mexican" in Quentin Tarantino's THE HATEFUL EIGHT, Demian Bichir is set to join another ensemble for further adventures, only this time, those adventures will take place on the far side of the galaxy. Deadline reports that Demian Bichir has joined the cast of Ridley Scott's ALIEN: COVENANT in an unspecified role, but it's likely that he'll be part of the crew of the colony ship Covenant.
Demian Bichir joins Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, and Danny McBride in the upcoming ALIEN: COVENANT which is set to kick off production in Australia very soon. We don't know much about ALIEN: COVENANT as of yet, but Ridley Scott has said that the film will lead to more sequels which will then lead back to the original ALIEN…eventually. Noomi Rapace, star of PROMETHEUS, was thought to be returning for the sequel but Ridley Scott recently confirmed that she wouldn't be back.
A synopsis for ALIEN: COVENANT:
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
ALIEN: COVENANT is set for a October 6, 2017 release.
