Fans were pleasantly shocked when it was revealed last summer that Michael Keaton was in talks to reprise his role of Bruce Wayne/Batman for The Flash movie, but the actor threw those plans into doubt last month when he said that he hadn't officially signed on yet. As The Flash is now shooting in the U.K., Keaton was naturally worried about COVID-19. "I keep my eye more on the Covid situation in the UK than anything," Keaton said. "That will determine everything, and so that’s why I’m living outside the city here on 17 acres, staying away from everybody, because the Covid thing has got me really concerned. So, that’s my first thing about all projects. I look at it and go, is this thing going to kill me, literally? And you know, if it doesn’t, then we talk."
Well, it seems that Michael Keaton has decided the he's ready to play Batman once again as the actor's talent agency, ICM Partners, has confirmed to The Wrap that he will be back for The Flash. I'm officially excited. In addition to Michael Keaton, Ezra Miller will naturally be returning as Barry Allen, along with Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, and more. As I mentioned above, production officially kicked off on The Flash today, and director Andy Muschietti also revealed the official new logo for the film. The Flash is slated for a November 4, 2022 release.
