The Equalizer trailer: Why call 911 when you can call Queen Latifah?

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Move over, Denzel Washington, it's Queen Latifah's turn to dispense justice on the street. Following two feature-films that starred Denzel Washington, a new reboot of the classic '80s series The Equalizer is on the way from CBS, who seem to have high-hopes for the reboot as they've decided to debut it right after the Super Bowl on February 7th. A new trailer has been released, which you can check out above.

In this reimagining of The Equalizer, Queen Latifah stars as Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. In addition to Latifah, The Equalizer also stars Chris Noth as William Bishop, Tory Kittles as Marcus Dante, Adam Goldberg as Harry Keshegian, Lorraine Toussaint as Frieda "Aunt Try" Lascombe, Liza Lapira as Melody Chu, and Laya DeLeon Hayes as Delilah McCall. In separate but related news, it was also announced that Richard Lindheim, co-creator of the original series, passed away yesterday at the age of 81.

The Equalizer will debut on February 7, 2021 after the Super Bowl on CBS and CBS All Access.
