Things are rather quiet here in the old Hollywood bullpen this Tuesday afternoon, though we've just learned that Quentin Tarantino has said that a KILL BILL VOL. 3 is "definitely in the cards." If that quote sounds familiar, it's likely because we've heard this all before. I swear, some days it feels as if we're made to write an article related to the possibility of a KILL BILL sequel every few weeks. What makes today's article a tad different though, is that Tarantino stated his KILL BILL intentions on a recent episode of Andy Cohen Live, and things are sounding quite promising. Now, I know what you're thinking. Who cares? Until we have some actual movement on this pipe dream, am I really supposed to care? Well, do you want a sequel to KILL BILL or don't you? Of course you do. So let's hear the man out, shall we?
When asked by Andy Cohen if a KILL BILL Vol. 3 will ever happen, the ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD director said, "Well, I just so happen to have had dinner with Uma Thurman last night." After a bit of flattery regarding how Thurman still looks as if she just stepped off the set of KILL BILL VOL. 2, Tarantino stated "I do have an idea of what I would do with it. That was the whole thing, conquering that concept. What's exactly happened to the Bride, right, and what do I want to do? I wouldn't want to just come up with some cockamamie adventure. She doesn't deserve that. Now I actually have an idea that could be interesting."
Are the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end yet? Have your pants suddenly become a size too small? Well then, you might want to save your energy, because Tarantino also says that if he were to work on another chapter of Kill Bill, that it wouldn't happen for quite a while.
"I wouldn't do it for a little bit. It would be at least three years from now or something like that. Look, it is definitely in the cards."
Shortly thereafter, Cohen addressed Tarantino's desire to remove himself from major motion picture filmmaking, and asked if we'd be seeing another feature from him before the possibility of concentrating on another Kill Bill.
Tarantino responded by saying "No. Not a movie. I don't know what I'm going to do. When I wrote Once Upon a Time in Hollywood … I kind of had more to do. So, I wrote a play and then I wrote a five-episode TV series. In some degree or another, I've kind of written what I'm gonna do for the next three years. After that, I'll get around to what my next movie will be."
And there you have it, folks. Straight from the horse's mouth.

Obviously, we'll be sure to let you know when there's any real movement on KILL BILL VOL. 3. In the meantime, it's nice to know that Tarantino hasn't abandoned the idea, and is actively thinking about returning to the series after his current projects are complete. We'll take what crumbs we can get, I suppose. Hang tight, everybody. Only three more years to go … maybe.
