Spider-Man 3, Spider-Verse 2, Doctor Strange 2 & more shift release dates

Here's a little Friday release date shuffle for ya, so hold on to your butts. It was revealed today that many Marvel films have shifted their release dates, including SPIDER-MAN 3, SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE 2, DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS, and THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER.

Sony Pictures announced today that the SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME sequel has shifted from July 16, 2021 to November 5, 2021, while the SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE sequel has been pushed back from April 8, 2022 to October 7, 2022. Additionally, Marvel Studios also announced that DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS has been pushed back from November 5, 2021 to March 25, 2022, and, in a rare move, THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER has actually been moved up from February 18, 2022 to February 11, 2022. Happy Asgardian Valentines Day?

Sony Pictures also took the opportunity to shift around more of their upcoming films, including moving Sony Pictures Animation's CONNECTED from September 18, 2020 to October 23, 2020; ESCAPE ROOM 2 from December 30, 2020 to January 1, 2021; the UNCHARTED video-game adaptation moves up from October 8, 2021 to July 16, 2021; and HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 4 also jumps ahead from December 22, 2021 to August 6, 2021. Disney also took the opportunity to stake their claim on July 9, 2021 for an untitled Disney event film and on April 8, 2022 for an untitled Disney live-action film.
