Venom: Let There Be Carnage

VENOM 2 no longer; earlier today it was revealed that the VENOM sequel would be titled VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE, and Sony Pictures have now revealed the title treatment for the upcoming film, which isn't arriving quite as soon as it was supposed to thanks to COVID-19.

Check out the animated reveal below!

I know the title has been getting some shit, but I'm a fan. While I didn't exactly have high hopes for the first film, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and 100% of that enjoyment came directly from Tom Hardy's delightfully off-kilter performance. The sequel finds Andy Serkis taking over from Ruben Fleischer, and features Woody Harrelson taking on the role of Cletus Kasady, the man who will become Carnage. Harrelson played the role in a post-credit sequence in the first film, and I can only imagine how great an entire film of Hardy and Harrelson going full-weirdo will be. Bring it on.

VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE was previously slated to hit theaters on October 2, 2020, but the film has been pushed back to a June 21, 2021 release.
