One of these new rumors for BATMAN VS SUPERMAN sounds more likely than the other, but remember, neither story has been confirmed, and there's a good chance both could turn out to be false. Not trying to piss on anyone's bonfire, but you have to be a little cautious when dealing with reports on uncertain truths.
Shmoes Knows is reporting that Olga Kurylenko is testing for the role of Wonder Woman in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. The site says the role isn't Kurlyenko's yet, but Warner Bros. is very interested in the QUANTUM OF SOLACE actress for the part. They also believe Wonder Woman will definitively be in the MAN OF STEEL sequel, although they aren't sure if it'll be just a cameo or something bigger.
Jaimie Alexander has also been rumored for the part, but there still hasn't been any word from Warner Bros. or DC saying the Amazon Princess will be in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. However, all of the signs point to her appearing in the film, and we know Warner Bros. is interested in using the character. But things could always change: look at what happened to Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane-Watson in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2.
Time to ogle Olga:
The other speculation comes from Latino-Review, and they seem to think Dick Grayson/Nightwing will also be in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. A "very trusted source" has told the site that the rumor is Nightwing will be in the film, but because of how secretive Zack Snyder and company have been with BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, it's been very difficult to get dirt on the project. The site claims that the studio is looking for a "young, John Hawkes type" for a part, and has been told that it is for Nightwing. Now, they're not saying the 54-year-old actor is up for Nightwing, just that the studio is interested in that type of actor for a role, and it could be as the former Batman sidekick.
Ben Affleck's Batman is suppose to be a seasoned crime fighter in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, but does that mean he already had a sidekick before the events in the new movie? Why will Dick Grayson be Nightwing in the film, and not Robin? Did he and Bruce Wayne have a falling out, and how much of that will be part of the plot for BATMAN VS SUPERMAN? Lots of questions, but not many answers for Zack Snyder's next film, and we're just going to have to wait and see if either of these rumors have any weight to them.
BATMAN VS SUPERMAN will be in theaters on July 17th, 2015.
