Dwayne Johnson Black Adam Suicide Squad 2

Dwayne Johnson has been attached to play Black Adam for quite some time, but progress on the project has been slow to say the least. When it was confirmed that Black Adam wouldn't be appearing in SHAZAM!, fans were left wondering just when we'd first be introduced to the "ruthless and charming" anti-hero. Now, a new rumor claims that Black Adam could make his first appearance in the upcoming SUICIDE SQUAD sequel.

According to The Wrap, SUICIDE SQUAD 2 will find the team tasked with tracking down a weapon of mass destruction, which happens to be Black Adam himself. This isn't entirely out of the blue, as earlier this year Dwayne Johnson told Fandango that "We have a really cool surprise for Black Adam that I can’t reveal, in terms of where we will see Black Adam actually being introduced." Production on the SUICIDE SQUAD sequel is expected to begin next fall under the direction of Gavin O'Conner, but as the incredibly busy Johnson already has quite a few projects lined up for 2018, including JUNGLE CRUISE and the FAST & FURIOUS spin-off with Jason Statham, his role in SUICIDE SQUAD may not be a large one. Plans are still in the early stages, so take this with a grain of salt for now, but Johnson's involvement would certainly be a good way to pump up the SUICIDE SQUAD sequel.

What do you folks think? Could Black Adam work in SUICIDE SQUAD 2?

Neither SUICIDE SQUAD 2 nor the BLACK ADAM film have an official release date at this time, SHAZAM!, which recently cast Zachary Levi as Shazam! and Asher Angel as Billy Batson, is slated to land on April 5, 2019.
