Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales pushed to 2016

Next year is jam packed with everything from Terminators to Superheroes so I guess that means there’s no room for Pirates.

Disney has pushed PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TELLS to Summer of 2016. This is definitely a good thing for production since right now there’s only an advanced outline of a script from Jeff Nathanson; plus it gives Joachim Roenning and Espen Sandberg (KON-TIKI) more time conceptualizing on a big budget film. Originally they wanted to jump on production in February which would be a bit of a crunch.

Conclusion? They didn’t think it was worth rushing. After four installments, the last thing you want to do is rush.

Disney production president Sean Bailey said this about the move, “Like audiences around the globe, we have high expectations for Jack Sparrow’s next adventure and we want to have all the right elements in place. We’re not there yet and we want to make sure this project is everything these wonderful characters and of course the fans deserve.”
