McBride’s Dundee returns with another hilarious throwback clip

In the past, who among us has ever made an attempt to use Crocodile Dundee's "zen hand gesture" trick on a household pet, or brazen woodland creature who's wandered onto our property? C'mon, admit it, you know you have.

Today, we have a brand-new clip for the movie that's not really a movie at all, DUNDEE: THE SON OF A LEGEND RETURNS HOME, in which Danny McBride's Brian Dundee attempts to use his father's storied body language on an ox that's not so much in the way of his all-terrain vehicle. As Brian tries to summon his "mind powers," Chris Hemsworth's character gleefully looks on as the offspring of one of Australia's greatest outback warriors makes a fool of himself.

Despite some speculation early last week, DUNDEE: THE SON OF A LEGEND RETURNS HOME has recently been debunked as a major motion picture, and has instead been revealed as a clever ad campaign for Tourism Australia. While the organization has refrained from commenting on the matter, it's to be thought that the clips will run during this year's Super Bowl event.

Heh. For a moment, think about how many people who aren't following this story will be fooled by the hilarious TV spots. I'm totally expecting to see a cavalcade of social media comments related to the ridiculous Dundee project on game night, and I'm positive that this was Australia's plan all along. Perhaps if enough dust is kicked up about the Dundee material, a real film will be set into production. Though for now, we'll just have to enjoy these clips and think fondly of what might have been.

DUNDEE: THE SON OF A LEGEND RETURNS HOME is likely never to be coming to a theater near you. Sorry, mate.
