Marvel’s Kevin Feige says to expect more iconic actors to join the MCU

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

In the past few years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become something of a who's who when in regard to casting high-profile actors for a varying roles in their bombastic comic book on-screen adventures. Looking back, actors the likes of Michael Douglas, Kurt Russell, Robert Redford, Glenn Close, Samuel L. Jackson, Cate Blanchett and more have assumed the identities of some of the famous comic book publisher's coolest characters. Now, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has named a few more talented individuals he'd like to bring to the MCU, including actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. Feige even confirmed while talking to Fandango that he's already met with Pacino.

While not wanting to confirm or deny people's wildest dream casting ideas, Feige did state that we're sure to see more of Hollywood's best and brightest join Marvel's universe as time marches on. Again, while speaking with Fandango, Feige teased, "There are a few [names] that are coming up, actually. I'll keep this spoiler-free, but be assured that there are more surprises of that caliber heading into our universe in the next few films." When asked if Al Pacino was one of the many actors being considred for a role in an upcoming project, Feige laughed and said, "No … not in this case. Someday, someday, but there are others that I'm thinking of right now."

Obviously, this begs the question of which iconic stars would you like to see appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Personally, I'd like to see Bruce Willis, Bryan Cranston, Charlize Theron, Denzel Washington, Emma Thompson or John Goodman join the fray. Let us know who you would choose by leaving a comment below.
