Mark Ruffalo tries to cope in the trailer for Infinitely Polar Bear

Not that he needs to prove it, but Mark Ruffalo is a damn fine actor. Since the 90s, Ruffalo has appeared in tons of movies, big and small, that have showcased his prowess as a performer. Whether it be in THE AVENGERS as The Hulk or in FOXCATCHER, Ruffalo can do it all. His latest film, INFINITELY POLAR BEAR, has him exploring Bi-polar disorder.

Co-starring Zoe Saldana, INFINITELY POLAR BEAR is one of those uplifting independent films that comes along and is just mainstream enough to be a modest hit. Our own Chris Bumbray gave it a decent review after seeing it at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and now we have the first trailer.

A manic-depressive mess of a father tries to win back his wife by attempting to take full responsibility of their two young, spirited daughters, who don’t make the overwhelming task any easier.

As someone who has dealt with family suffering from Bi-polar disorder, I see a lot of truth in this trailer, but at the same time it looks very sugarcoated as to what the disease really is like for those who deal with it. Still, Saldana and Ruffalo are damn fine actors and this looks like it may be a heart-warming, if not difficult, movie to watch.

INFINITELY POLAR BEAR opens overseas on March 26th but does not have a domestic release date.
