It was announced earlier this year that Zack Snyder would be bringing his original vision for JUSTICE LEAGUE to life in the form of a four-part mini-series for HBO Max. The news was enthusiastically received by fans who had been campaigning for a Snyder Cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE ever since the film was released, but beyond the possibility of several actors returning to record additional dialogue, it was thought that there would be no reshoots for the extended cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE. That all changed when it was revealed that Snyder would be shooting additional scenes for the project that would include the return of several JUSTICE LEAGUE actors, including Joe Manganiello.
Although Deathstroke was being set up for future appearances in the DCEU, the character only made a cameo appearance in JUSTICE LEAGUE's post-credit scene, but with Joe Manganiello reprising the role for Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE, we've got a little more Deathstroke in our future to look forward to. As a bit of a tease, Manganiello shared a new look at Deathstroke, who looks more badass than ever.
Although much has been written about Zack Snyder's additional photography for JUSTICE LEAGUE, the director has stated that the reshoots will only amount to "about four minutes or five minutes" for the entire four-hour series. That said, Snyder told SyFy that there will be plenty of unseen footage to look forward.
It's really exciting and I'm excited for you guys to see the giant amount of movie that you have coming your way … It is probably a solid 2 and 1/2 hours of unseen footage in this movie. I would imagine, something like that. So yeah, that's gonna be fun for everyone to experience this for the first time.
Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE will debut on HBO Max in 2021.
