Production art for Jon Favreau's THE JUNGLE BOOK hit last week and while it paints a pretty picture of the look they're going for, Favreau himself hit up Instagram to show us what's going on behind the camera. The line-up is about as favorable as they get, enlisting the talents of Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Scarlett Johannson, and Ben Kingsly. You'll get to see a few of those players here, as well as a visit from the now-legendary directing duo, the Russo brothers (WINTER SOLDIER baby!), and even a shot of filming in progress.
With Disney's film coming out almost 2 years ahead of Andy Serkis' interpretation, I imagine they're pretty relaxed on what vision Favreau has for the flick. Production began back in August so animators are undoubtedly hard at work with bringing the animals to life. The only real question now is how money Mowgli is and if he even knows it?
Jon Favreau's THE JUNGLE BOOK aims to hit theaters on October 9, 2015.
