Jennifer Lawrence up for more X-Men so long as Fassbender and McAvoy are too

Jennifer Lawrence X-Men: Apocalypse

With the X-MEN contracts for James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and Jennifer Lawrence coming to an end with the upcoming X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, there's a question as to how many familiar faces will be back to continue on with the franchise. Jennifer Lawrence has had differing opinions on whether she'd return to the role of Mystique or not, first revealing that APOCALYPSE would be her last X-MEN film, then saying that she hadn't decided yet, and finally commenting that she's dying to come back for more.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly recently, Lawrence said that she'd still love to come back but on the condition that James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender also return.

Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking, like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back, if you come back.’ Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are.

Although she seems fond of the franchise, Jennifer Lawrence has said that putting on the blue body paint for each of these movies isn't exactly her cup of tea. Lawrence also has the fortune of being one of the more steadily employed actors in Hollywood, and these X-MEN flicks take up quite a lot of time.

I would love to come back. I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don’t know. I shouldn’t be that honest.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will hit theaters on May 27, 2016 and you can read a review from our Eric Walkuski own right here!
