Invincible, Robert Kirkman, Season 2, Amazon, Season 3

Robert Kirkman's Invincible has been renewed for Season 2 and Season 3 at Amazon!

Kirkman announced the renewal on Thursday on Twitter by calling Steven Yeun (who voices Mark Grayson / Invincible) to give him the great news. The ultra-violent animated comic book series debuted in March and will have its Season 1 finale on Friday, April 30th.

“I’m extremely thankful to Amazon for the support and dedication they’ve put behind Invincible,” Kirkman said in a statement. “The comic book is truly a love letter to a genre that Cory (Walker) and I grew up reading and loving, and it’s been a gratifying journey to watch our characters come to life again through the animated series. We’re beyond excited to continue this story for at least two more seasons.”

Invincible is an adult animated superhero show that revolves around seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (JK Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers that his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.

Invincible stars Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson, Sandra Oh as Deborah Grayson, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Mark Hamill as Art, Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett, Khary Payton as Black Samson, Walton Goggins as Cecil Steadman, Zachary Quinto as Robot, Chris Diamantopolous as Doc Seismic, Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Splode, Grey Griffin as voice Shrinking Rae and Amanda (Monster Girl as Girl), Melise as Dupli-Kate, Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell, Kevin Michael Richardson as Mauler 1 and Mauler 2 and Monster Girl (as Monster) and Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien, with Lauren Cohan as War Woman, Chad Coleman as Martian Man, Michael Cudlitz as Red Rush, Lennie James as Darkwing, Ross Marquand as The Immortal and Aquarius, Sonequa Martin-Green as Green Ghost, Mahershala Ali as Titan, Clancy Brown as Damien Darkblood, Nicole Byer as Vanessa and Fiona, Jeffrey Donovan as Machine Head, Jonathan Groff as Rick Sheridan, Jon Hamm as Steve, Djimon Hounsou as Martian Emperor and Ezra Miller as D.A. Sinclair.

Invincible is produced by Skybound and executive produced by Kirkman, Racioppa, David Alpert (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead), Catherine Winder (The Angry Birds Movie, Star Wars: Clone Wars) with Supervising Directors Justin & Chris Copeland (Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man), and Linda Lamontagne serving as casting director.

Kirkman's second-longest-running comic book series, Invincible, ended its 15-year long run in February of 2018. The full series is available for collection now wherever comic books are sold.
