Godzilla vs. Kong, MonsterVerse

Not everyone has loved Legendary's MonsterVerse franchise, but I'm definitely a fan; GODZILLA, KONG: SKULL ISLAND, and GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS were all a hell of a lot of fun, so I'm anxiously awaiting the release of GODZILLA VS. KONG. The upcoming film from director Adam Wingard (YOU'RE NEXT) will finally pit the two giant titans against one another, and judging by the recently revealed rating, we're in for another epic full of giant monster action.

The Motion Picture Association of America has officially rated GODZILLA VS. KONG, and not surprisingly, the film has landed a PG-13 rating for "intense sequences of creature violence/destruction and brief language." Sounds good to me. Now that the film has received an official rating, we'd typically be looking forward to the release of a trailer for the film, but as theaters remain closed due to COVID-19, it's hard to say when Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. will drop the first trailer for GODZILLA VS. KONG.

Here's the official logline for GODZILLA VS. KONG: "In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever." The film, which stars Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Zhang Ziyi, Demian Bichir, and Julian Dennison, is currently slated for a November 20, 2020 release.
