First trailer for Westworld season three takes us into the future world

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Now that GAME OF THRONES is officially done everyone is going to need a new show to obsess over as it makes its way towards what will be a divisive finale. Perhaps that show could be WESTWORLD, which already has a solid fanbase and is poised for some big talking points come season three. Why is that, you ask? Well, because a new trailer for the season has dropped, and while past seasons largely took place in a Wild West-set theme park filled with android cowboys and horses, there are no horses or big hats to be seen as the show takes us fully into the real world.

Newcomer Aaron Paul is the center of the new trailer, playing a character seemingly lost in this modern world where nothing seems to make sense anymore. But come the preview’s end we see Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores, who will perhaps bring Paul’s character along for a new adventure. It all looks more like BLACK MIRROR than WESTWORLD, and after a second season that didn’t quite live up to the first, it could be a much-needed shift to change things up a bit.

However, we’re going to have to wait the better part of a year to find out, because the new season of the show doesn’t come out until 2020, giving GOT a run for its money in the gap-between-seasons department.
