A teaser trailer and poster have landed online for THE WALK, the upcoming Robert Zemeckis film about French high-wire artist Philippe Petit's walk between the World Trade Center towers in 1974. The movie stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Petit and Ben Kingsley as his mentor, as well as James Badge Dale (THE DEPARTED), Ben Schwartz (THE OTHER GUYS) and Charlotte Le Bon (THE HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY).

THE WALK is an adaptation of Petit's memoir To Reach The Clouds: My High Wire Walk Between The Twin Towers, although his walk was also the subject of the 2008 documentary MAN ON WIRE. The film will be released in 3D, so if you're afraid of heights, you might want to avoid this one.
