First teaser for Eli Roth’s thriller Knock Knock with Keanu Reeves

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

On paper, a thriller with Keanu Reeves directed by Eli Roth sounds like a slam dunk. Lionsgate agreed and has ponied up $2.5 million to distribute KNOCK KNOCK in theaters. We now have the first teaser for the film which looks like it could be a nice sleep to follow in the footsteps of the recent Keanu Reeves surprise hit JOHN WICK.

Based on a script by Roth and Nicolas Lopez and Guillermo Amoedo, the cast also includes Lorenza Izzo, Ana De Armas, Aaron Burns, Ignacia Allamand and Colleen Camp. While this teaser doesn’t show much, it does give us the clear idea that something sexy and very dangerous is going on in the film.

Reeves plays a married man whose family is away. Two beautiful young girls fill the void and turn a wild fantasy into his worst nightmare.

The teaser is cut in a way that you aren’t quite sure what is going on but it definitely has a grindhouse vibe to it even though the film looks beautifully shot. Knowing the prior films of Eli Roth, I would expect there to be something pretty f*cked up locked away in the second half of this movie.

Lionsgate has not announced a theatrical release date for KNOCK KNOCK but I would figure it will be sometime in 2015. Check out our review of the film, directly from the Sundance Film Festival.
