Did you have a calm, relaxing weekend? Splendid. Now prepare to have all of that ruined with the first intense, eerie, and unsettling tease for Darren Aronofsky’s MOTHER! – which stars Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem.

From filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream), mother! stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer in this riveting psychological thriller about love, devotion and sacrifice.

 Like many trailers, there’s not a lot to go on, but it makes thrilling use of only 30 seconds, the stillness of the house Lawrence is walking through mixed with violent, suspicious conversations to horrifying result. Then it explodes into crazy final seconds. We won’t see the full trailer until next Tuesday, so you have a week to prepare for whatever hell is awaiting us.
