Some lucky bastard got a chance to visit the set of AMC's Preacher adaptation, and has posted several behind-the-scenes pics to his Facebook page, including the first look at Joseph Gilgun (THE LAST WITCH HUNTER, E4's Misfits) as Cassidy and another look at Ian Colletti's Eugene Root/Arseface. Filming for the pilot episode began earlier this year with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg behind the camera, and the duo also co-wrote the script with Breaking Bad scribe Sam Catlin.

Official synopsis from AMC:
Preacher follows Reverend Jesse Custer, a tough Texas preacher who has lost his faith, has learned that God has left Heaven and abandoned His responsibilities. He finds himself the only person capable of tracking God down, demanding answers, and making Him answer for His dereliction of duty. Accompanying Jesse on his journey is his former girlfriend and a friendly vampire who seems to prefer a pint in the pub to the blood of the innocent. On his tail is one of the most iconic bad guys in print – an immortal, unstoppable killing machine named the Saint of Killers – a western lone gunman archetype whose sole purpose is to hunt and kill Jesse.
Even though I'm a more than a little nervous about how far Rogen and company might be straying from the source material for the adaptation, I am very excited to check out the pilot. When do you think we'll get an official first look at the full Preacher cast?
Preacher also stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Tulip O'Hare, Lucy Griffiths as Emily Woodrow, Elizabeth Perkins as Vyla Quinncannon, W. Earl Brown as Sheriff Hugo Root, Tom Brooke as Fiore, and Jamie Anne Allman and Derek Wilson as Betsy and Donny Schenck, and is expected to premiere on AMC sometime in 2016.
