Fandango to partner with WB for early screenings of Shazam! on March 23rd!

For those of you who simply cannot wait to dab, floss, and punch bad guys alongside Zachary Levi in New Line's SHAZAM!, you'll be happy to know that Fandango is partnering with Warner Bros. to preview the film early for a very special event. Ah, but before you start practicing your best Fortnite dance moves, I should probably inform you that this offer is exclusively for Fandango VIP members only. I know, womp womp!

According to Fandango, the event will be held on March 23rd at 1,2000 theaters, two weeks before DC's latest superhero extravaganza hits theaters for commoners on April 5th. Tickets for the event go on sale today, which you can purchase for yourself by going to Fandango.com.

“We’re thrilled to work with Warner Bros. on our early access screening program, helping eventize movies and generate buzz before opening weekend,” says Fandango President Paul Yanover. “Shazam! is a film that appeals to the whole family, and we’re delighted that Fandango VIP fans will be among the first to see the film two weeks before it officially hits theaters.”

Jeff Goldstein, President of Warner Bros. Pictures Domestic Distribution, also voiced his enthusiasm for forming a dynamic duo with Fandango by saying:

“Fandango is a terrific partner and we’re excited to work with them to bring this film to their VIP members ahead of release. Shazam! is not only a great superhero action movie, but a really funny one, full of heart and charm, and we look forward to Fandango audiences being among the very first to experience it on the big screen.”

Wow! First CAPTAIN MARVEL soars at the box office and now SHAZAM! is arriving early for select Fandango members? If you ask me, it's a mighty fine time to be a fan of comics-to-film cinema.

Here's the synopsis for SHAZAM!:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard (Djimon Hounsou). Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong).

While SHAZAM! will screen for Fandango VIP members on March 23rd, the rest of us peasants will have to wait until April 5th to party with the boy-turned-superhero. Tickets for April 5th screenings and beyond also go on sale today, so what are you waiting for?
