EXCLUSIVE – 3 new posters for Unhinged hint at a fiery road rage menace

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The new road-rage thriller, UNHINGED, has released three new posters and they could offer up some hints at what a diabolical Russell Crowe could be up to in the upcoming psychological thriler.

Solstice Studios is amping up a bit of a promotional push for the film which will be the first major wide release to open since the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered movie theaters nationwide. In one poster we have an image of a gas can with the title art serving as the gas can's logo. In the next poster there is an image of a shadowy silhouette brandishing a hammer, which is most likely that of Crowe's character simply called "The Man" on the film's IMDB page. The last poster features a box of matches which also has the film's title art spelled across the box. Is "The Man" about to wreck havoc and light a few fires? Sure seems that way judging from the images. You can check out the three new posters below:

UNHINGED, which has a tagline that reads "He Can Happen To Anyone", is a thriller that deals with something we have all probably encountered at least once in our lives: road rage. In the film, a divorced single mother begins to be stalked and tormented by an unstable stranger following a road rage confrontation at a red light. The stranger, who has lived a life that has left him powerless and invisible, decides to make her the target of his frustrations by teaching her a series of deadly lessons that show you're always one stop away from encountering someone who is truly unhinged. The film also stars Caren Pistorius, Gabriel Bateman, Jimmi Simpson, and Anne Leighton.

The film, directed by Derrick Borte with a script from Carl Ellsworth, was originally slated to open on July 1 but shifted its release date to July 10 when TENET came off the July 17 date and moved to July 31. Even with the move, UNHINGED will be the first film to test the waters as movie theaters begin to reopen and honestly a no holds-barred thriller like this might be a good choise to ease moviegoers back into the communal  activity of going to see movies again. I see shades of THE HITCHER in all of the marketing and Russell Crowe honestly looks like he might be one of hell of a time to watch in this.

Will YOU be checking out UNHINGED? The film hits screens on July 10, 2020.
