We've all seen some truly amazing (as well as disturbing) things thanks to the magic of Deepfake, the artificial intelligence-based human image synthesis technique which allows someone to, for example, put Nicolas Cage's face on just about anyone. Ctrl Shift Face, the same person behind the Sylvester Stallone as The Terminator video last month, is back with another fantastic cinematic piece of tomfoolery which replaces Jack Nicholson in THE SHINING with Jim Carrey. The results are…pretty stunning.
Speaking of THE SHINING, we'll be getting a more official recreation of particular sequences from the iconic Stanley Kubrick film in Mike Flanagan's upcoming DOCTOR SLEEP, an adaptation of the Stephen King novel of the same name. The film follows a now adult Danny Torrance (Ewan McGregor) who finds himself struggling with the same issues which plagued his father all those years ago. As we saw in the first trailer, the film will feature scenes which looked ripped from the Kubrick film, and Mike Flanagan took to Twitter to explain that everything, aside from the bloody elevators, were their own recreations. DOCTOR SLEEP will hit theaters on November 8, 2019.
