Although ComicCon@Home may have been a social media bust, DC is hoping that their much-publicized DC FanDome Event will be the true virtual experience that fans have been waiting for and they've released a short teaser trailer to prepare us for what's to come.
The event is set to be a 24-hour, free fan experience that’s expected to tease basically everything that’s coming in the media world of DC from movies and television to video games and comics. The teaser trailer, while short, does have some goosebump-inducing moments, thanks mostly to the use of John Williams' iconic score from SUPERMAN.
The DC FanDome Event is going to be a virtual exhibit dedicated to all things DC, and fans from all over the world will have 24 hours to access as much of the content as they want. From the looks of it, I think this is going to be an “all at once” type of presentation instead of scheduled panels but we will update you as soon as we get more info from Warner Bros. as to exactly how the structure of the event will work.
It appears that the films and television shows on the upcoming DC and Warner’s roster are expected to bring some highly anticipated footage. It’s not presented in the teaser trailer but it may drop some hints. There is one freeze-frame from the trailer where we can see Darkseid, from Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE, scheduled to drop on HBO MAX next year. We also see the character of Baraka from Mortal Kombat 11 video game while there are some glimpses of DC heroes Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa).
The DC FanDome Event is set to kickoff of August 22, 2020, and will be a 24-hour global experience so DC fans from all over the world will be able to take in what DC has to offer. Will YOU be checking out the DCFanDome Event?
