Given that J.J. Abrams essentially launched Daisy Ridley's career in STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, it seems fitting that the pair will soon be reuniting once again. The Wrap reports that Daisy Ridley is set to star in KOLMA, a fantasy thriller which will be produced by J.J. Abrams.

KOLMA will be based upon Keren Margalit's Israeli TV movie titled ALL I'VE GOT, which followed an old woman who dies and finds herself on a ferry to the afterlife. She reunites with her first love, a young man who was killed in a car accident, and is presented with a difficult choice: to start live anew as a 22-year-old, the age she was when her first love was killed, but relinquish all of the memories she has lived with her husband and children, or to remain as she is with all her life's memories intact, but if she does, she will never be reunited with her first love, who has been waiting for her on the ferry for 50 years. Marielle Heller (THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL) is in negotiations to direct the film for Paramount, whose budget is said to fall in the $60-70 million range.

Daisy Ridley is currently filming STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII, but she has definitely been in demand since her breakout role in THE FORCE AWAKENS. One of the major projects that it seems very likely which she'll be involved in is the upcoming TOMB RAIDER film in which she would star as Lara Croft.
