Top Gun: 30th Anniversary Steelbook ($14.99) ($11.04)

Lots of films celebrated 30th anniversaries this year including Tony Scott's beloved TOP GUN. The Tom Cruise aerial action film still has some pretty impressive visuals which pop even more on this high definition Blu-ray. The nice steelbook packaging makes this a perfect gift for the 1980s fan in your life.

Independece Day: 20th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition ($69.99) ($50.87)

Roland Emmerich's 1996 film remains a fan favorite guilty pleasure for many folks out there. While this year's sequel may not have lived up to the expectations of many, 20th Century Fox was more than happy to release a special collector's set of the original movie complete with a cool recreation of the alien attacker ship from the final act of the film.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi ($19.99) ($9.81)

Michael Bay proved he is more than capable of making films of substance with the early 2016 release of 13 HOURS. He also managed to make Jon Krasinski into a physical badass in a film that relates an important moment from recent world history.

10 Cloverfield Lane ($29.99) ($9.81)

CLOVERFIELD was a great sleeper hit and this spiritual sequel continues that trend. With a harrowing performance from John Goodman, 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE is an excellent Twilight Zone-esque romp into a science fiction reality where an alien invasion may or may not have happened. Definitely check this one out if you haven't seen it yet.

Everybody Wants Some! ($17.99) ($14.99)

Another spiritual sequel, this time to DAZED AND CONFUSED, Richard Linklater's 80s set college dramedy follows a baseball squad as the prepare for the school year. Led by Tyler Hoechlin and Blake Jenner, this is a very different movie than DAZED but still relies on great music and lots of weed to tell a story that really resonates for an entire generation.

Aliens: 30th Anniversary Edition ($24.99) ($9.96)

Seeing the 30th anniversay panel featuring James Cameron and the cast at this year's San Diego Comic Con was a treat. For those of you who couldn't be there, this very affordable disc gives you a new slew of special features about the making of the film along with some nice new packaging.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows ($19.99) ($11.21)

The sequel to the Michael Bay-produced TMNT reboot is heads and tails better than the first film. Yeah, it is still has some issues with the story, but Casey Jones and Krang are here along with the Technodrome and one hell of a massive final battle through the city of New York. Definitely a crowd-pleaser for the kids on your shopping list.

Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates ($19.99) ($13.99)

Zac Efron is quickly proving himself to be a comedic asset and this film is no exception. While it did not fare well in theaters, now is a great time to enjoy the hijinks along with Adam Devine, Aubrey Plaza, and Anna Kendrick in a movie that is both raunchy and hilarious.

Captain America: Civil War ($39.99) ($19.99)

The best superhero film of 2016 has been available on disc for a while now, so if you know someone who hasn't purchased this excellent Marvel film now is your chance to complete their collection. Few superhero team-ups work as well as CIVIL WAR  and the special features here show just how massive an undertaking it was to realize this story on screen.

The BFG ($39.99) ($19.54)

Disney and Steven Spielberg should have been a slam dunk but audiences never really clicked with this adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic story. It is definitely a good movie and one reminiscent of HOOK in many ways, but it is a much different and slower story than what the trailers make it appear to be. A good family movie to watch during the holidays.

Finding Dory ($39.99) ($19.99)

Pixar returns to form with their best sequel since TOY STORY 2. Andrew Stanton captured what made FINDING NEMO so magical and recreates it wonderfully in this follow-up. Ellen Degeneres is in top form as the titular forgetful fish who goes on a journey to find her parents. Populated with numerous memorable new characters and favorited returning from the first film, this is a worthy addition to your Pixar library.

Kubo and the Two Strings ($34.98) ($24.99)

Laika is quickly gaining ground on Pixar as the best animation studio and their latest film is no exception to that trend. A brilliant blend of Japanese mythology with stunning stop motion animation, KUBO is unlike any other film released this year. Whether you like animation or not, this film will blow you away.

The Jungle Book ($17.99)

The live action remakes of Disney's animated classics have been somewhat hit or miss so far, but Jon Favreau knocked it out of the park with his take on Rudyard Kipling's classic tale. It didn't feature as many songs, but it still evoked the classic movie while delivering cutting edge special effects that made this animals feel tangible. An action-packed adventure that makes it hard for any other studio to make their version of the same tale. Sorry, Andy Serkis.

Suicide Squad: Extended Cut ($35.99) ($21.24)

A very divisive film, SUICIDE SQUAD's extended cut adds a lot more Harley Quinn and Joker footage. Is it a better film that the theatrical cut? Yes and no. Look, if you didn't like the movie, you won't like the longer version, but if you like your heroes of a bad guy variety, this movie is for you. Plus the soundtrack is so damn good.

Mad Max: Fury Road Black & Chrome ($29.98) ($24.99)

George Miller long teased a black and white version of FURY ROAD and now it is being officially released. This two disc set includes the theatrical edition and the new Black and Chrome version which will easily become your definitive version of the movie. I cannot wait to add this film to my personal collection.

The Twilight Zone: The Complete Series ($126.99) ($71.39)

The greatest television series of all time has been released in numerous packages and editions, but this Blu-ray set is the only one you need. Compiling every episode of the show in the highest quality transfer along with special features, this is the set for the Rod Serling fan in your life. I guarantee you will make anyone happy with this purchase.

Hellraiser: The Scarlet Box Limited Edition Trilogy ($124.95) ($67.14)

Clive Barker's hellish nightmare saga has not been as good over the last half dozen entries. Still, the first three movies focusing on Pinhead and his evil puzzle box remain some of the most instantly recognizable horror films of all time. This massive set features the first three movies, a great documentary on Barker and a book of art that will please any Cenobite buff out there.

The Bourne Ultimate Collection ($89.98) ($44.96)

Five films in, the BOURNE saga is still going strong, especially with the return of Matt Damon to the title role. This collection brings all of the movies into one set, including the newly released JASON BOURNE, so that you can get your hand-to-hand combat fix in during the holiday season.

Mad Max: High Octane Collection ($79.99) ($67.99)

If you were thinking of getting the Black & Chrome two disc set but don't own the other movies in then series, you may want to opt for this deluxe set that also includes the first three films in the franchise starring Mel Gibson. Definitely an upgrade for this Blu-ray set over the previously released editions of the Rockatansky saga, this is a collection that will live up to the high octane subtitle.

Morgan ($39.99) ($25.62)

The Scott clan expands their cinematic hold on Hollywood with the first directorial effort from Luke Scott. Part SPLICE and part EX MACHINE, this horror/science fiction film starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Kate Mara is a good thriller to warm up those cool winter nights.

Star Trek Beyond ($39.99) ($14.49)

Simon Pegg scripted a third entry in the rebooted TREK franchise that harkens back to the days of the classic 1966 television series. A fitting release for the 50th anniversary of Gene Roddenberry's creation, this is a film that serves as a good standalone adventure for new Trekkies as well as a fitting farewell for Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin.

X-Men Universe: 9 Film Bundle ($199.99)

With DEADPOOL and X-MEN: APOCALYPSE released this year, now is the perfect time to gather together the nine films that Fox has released in their X-Men universe before LOGAN hits screens next year. Bringing together the main franchise along with the spin-off films, this is a bargain for the Marvel mutant fan in your life.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3D ($49.99) ($25.49)

So this may seem like a cash grab because it kind of is. But, did you really think the previous release of the film would be the only one? On top of the 3D edition of J.J. Abrams' film, this set also boasts new special features that alone make this purchase worth your money. Even if you don't own a 3D television, this set is worth the upgrade.

Hell or High Water ($19.96) ($15.29)

Bound to be a Best Picture contender at the next Academy Awards, this neo-western shares a lot in common with NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and boasts stellar performances from the three leads. It is a simple story that quickly becomes very complicated but will have you contemplating everything until the very end. Chris Pine has never been better and Jeff Bridges always makes for a great cowboy.

The Conjuring 2 ($29.98) ($15.28)

James Wan's horror skills seem to only improve over the years. While it was hard to do better than the original THE CONJURING, this sequel comes pretty damn close. It is frightening and scary in a way very few films are these days. This movie will stick with you for a long time. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson have rarely been better.

Sausage Party ($34.99) ($16.99)

Adult animated films don't come around very often these days, but when they do they need to set themselves apart. When you have Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg writing and producing, you know this is going to be one f*cked up cartoon. SAUSAGE PARTY is completely insane but it works because of the high quality of the animation and the utterly insane final act.

Hannibal: The Complete Series ($39.97) ($21.99)

Bryan Fuller's series focused on Hannibal Lecter ended fairly unceremoniously after three seasons, leaving lots of questions regarding the fates of the main characters. This elegaic and beautifully shot horror series was unlike anything on television and is clearly not for the squeamish. Now you can relive the entire three season saga in this new box set.

Game of Thrones: The Complete Seasons 1-6 ($229.99) ($142.79)

We have just two seasons left of HBO's fantasy saga, so you may want to wait and get the full set once the show wraps up. But, if you cannot wait and want to binge the first six seasons, this is the perfect box set to fulfill those needs. Featuring all of the features of the individual season sets, this comes in a classy new packaging that looks perfect on your shelf.

Marvel's Daredevil – The Complete First Season ($39.99) ($29.99)

Netflix certainly took their time in releasing this Marvel series on disc, likely to maximize views on their streaming service. But, if you want to add a physical copy of the first street level hero in Marvel's small screen universe, now is your chance to do so.

The Iron Giant: Signature Edition ($14.97) ($9.99)

Brad Bird is a legend and this film is one of his best achievements. Released in a short theatrical stint earlier this year, this edition features additional scenes not in the original theatrical cut plus new special features. There are so few traditionally animated films these days that it is a welcome and refreshing pace to watch THE IRON GIANT and harken back to the classic days of animated films.

The James Bond Collection ($199.99) ($79.96)

Every year, a new collection of Bond films is released. Last year, there was the massive 50th anniversary set that cost a lot more than this new edition. Plus, this set includes the most recent film, SPECTRE. Most of the other special features are the same but this comes in a nice, white packaging that is as smooth as 007 himself.

Labyrinth: 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition ($75.99) ($41.56)

David Bowie's passing makes the anniversary edition of Jim Henson's fantasy epic bittersweet, but you will enjoy the special features here as well as the cool collectible seen in the image below that recreates the M.C. Escher esque world of the Goblin King's castle. A great introduction to the film for new fans and collectors alike.

Dexter: The Complete Series ($76.49)

I never got into Showtime's serial killer series but the show has a devoted following out there. This would be the perfect gift for the Dexter fan on your list or a perfect binge introduction for those you want to introduce to the series. Included are all eight seasons of the show plus great special features.

The Thing: Collector's Edition ($34.93) ($27.51)

Do you really need a reason to pick up this disc? Every new version of THE THING has been better than the last and this is by far the best edition yet released. If you don't already own this or know someone who has a gaping Antarctic sized hole in their collection, this is the gift for them.

The Ultimate Laika Collection ($69.98) ($43.56)

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS is one of the best films of 2016 and further proves that Laika is gaining ground on Pixar in the world of feature animation. Committed to never making sequels, Laika has made four stellar features which you can get in one nice set this holiday season.

Miami Vice: The Complete Series ($99.98) ($47.49)

One of the coolest TV shows of all time, Miami Vice is one of the most iconic cop shows ever made with one of the best theme songs to grave the small screen. Don Johnson and Jan Michael-Vincent became sex symbols thanks to the series which still works both as a microcosm of the 1980s and as a police procedural in general. For the first time ever, you can own all five seasons in one flashy box set.

Middle Earth: Limited Collector's Edition ($499.99)

That price tag is no joke. Peter Jackson has long teased a definitive edition of his massive Tolkien cinematic saga. So, if you don't already own a half dozen editions and want the most elaborate and beautifully crafted box set ever made, this is for you.

Deadpool (Blu-ray with collectible holiday box art) ($14.99)

One of the biggest films of the year, the Merc with the Mouth is ready to jump into your stocking with this collectible holiday box art edition (including a greeting card!). Wham!
