Fresh from wrapping production on JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION, Deadline reports that Chris Pratt as signed on to star in a SAIGON BODYGUARDS remake alongside Wu Jing, the Chinese martial artist/actor best known for starring in and directing WOLF WARRIOR and its sequel, the latter of which is the highest-grossing non-English film of all-time.

The high-octane action/comedy will be based on the 2016 Vietnamese film of the same name and find Chris Pratt and Wu Jing starring as two pals, "one a straight arrow and the other a doof, who try to find a corporate heir who got kidnapped right under their noses." Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck (Veep) are writing the script for the remake, with Chris Pratt producing alongside Joe and Anthony Russo and Mike Larcocca's AGBO production banner.

JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION will once again find Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprising their roles of Owen and Claire, respectively, but director Colin Trevorrow has previously said that the original JURASSIC PARK trio will have some major roles in JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION. "I think people may be underestimating the size and importance of Laura Dern and Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum’s characters in this movie," Trevorrow said. "It is very much an ensemble. That element – the ability to take these beloved characters from almost 30 years now and understand how they interact with each other in the context of a world we’ve really never seen before and not been able to witness until now is very exciting for me." The director also teased that JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION "is the movie I’ve been waiting to make since the beginning. It’s the one we have spent the past two movies building to. It really was part of a larger story and part of a design." JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION will hit theaters on June 10, 2022.
