Best Movie & TV Trailers of the Week! Crawl, Game of Thrones, Toy Story 4

Hello and welcome to the best movie & TV trailers of the week!

Ever since I visited the set of Pixar's upcoming TOY STORY 4, I have been ridiculously excited to see the film. There's a spork named Forky who walks around shouting "I'm trash!" and it's a whole mood. The latest trailer for the film showcases the Canuck with all the luck, Duke Caboom. Now, not only is this adorable little toy a bit of a knock-off of the real life stuntman, meaning the little cutie can't quite make the daring jumps through a ring of fire as advertised, but he also happens to be voiced by Keanu Reeves, which is probably Disney's best decision to date.

There's also an adorable trailer for the upcoming BLINDED BY THE LIGHT, a film set in 1987 during the austere days of Thatcher's Britain, wherein a teenager learns to live life, understand his family and find his own voice through the music of Bruce Springsteen. As someone who doesn't necessarily consider herself to be a Springsteen fan, I actually kind of want to see this movie.

As for TV trailers, this week brings us new looks at VERONICA MARS, GAME OF THRONES Season 8 Episode 4, AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6, THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES, SUCCESSION Season 2, THE SOCIETY, VIDA Season 2, ANIMAL KINGDOM Season 4, SWEETBITTER Season 2, SUPERMANSION CLAWS Season 3, and CHERNOBYL.

As stoked as I am for this weekend's GAME OF THRONES, I really want to highlight Alexandre Aja's latest film CRAWL this week. It's been so long since I've seen a good — or any, really — alligator horror movie. If anyone can do this tiny little subgenre justice, it's director Alexandre Aja, a.k.a. the man who gave us HIGH TENSION and the remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES, two of the most tense and bloody films I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. CRAWL was shot by Aja's longtime collaborator Maxime Alexandre makes me even more thrilled to see what the director has been cooking up for us these past few years.

CRAWL follows a young woman (Kaya Scodelario), who while attempting to save her father (Barry Pepper) during a Catagory 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooding house and must fight for her life against alligators. The film hits U.S. theaters on July 12th, 2019.
